Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental protocols and state regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway conditions.
  • Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
  • Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitoring patient responses to therapies and making necessary adjustments.
  • Providing support during the transportation of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.
  • Responding effectively to emergency situations to maintain airway integrity.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within the first month of employment.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent certification.
  • State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Educational background: Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent training in respiratory care.

No travel is required for this position, and prior experience is not mandatory.
