Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and professional standards. As an integral member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure, while documenting findings accurately.
  • Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and promptly notify providers of any adverse reactions.
  • Support the transportation of patients who require ventilatory assistance.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and proper ventilation during resuscitation efforts.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credentials.
  • State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Educational background: Associate Degree, Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or completion of a Vocational School program.

No travel is required for this position.
