Key ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care, adhering to departmental protocols and state regulations. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway conditions.
- Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and intervene as necessary.
- Support the transportation of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.
- Respond to emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and effective ventilation during resuscitation.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent certification.
- State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Educational background: Associate Degree, Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or completion of a Vocational Program.
No travel is required for this position.
