Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in guiding the clinical laboratory staff and ensuring high standards of patient care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts pre-analytical and post-analytical processes, demonstrating independent judgment and accountability.
  • Oversees technical operations within the laboratory, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Acts as the laboratory's subject matter expert, providing training and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.
  • Facilitates staff development and evaluates performance metrics.

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with occasional weekend coverage and rotating holiday responsibilities.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with relevant experience and departmental equity, starting at $48.67 per hour.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Clinical Laboratory setting is required.
  • At least 2 years in a Management or Supervisory role is necessary.
  • Experience in Blood Bank operations is preferred.
Certifications:
  • Certification as MLT (ASCP), MT, or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Medical Technologist license in the state of Texas is mandatory.
