IT Project Management Coordinator
Location: 100% Onsite, 5 days/week

Ekman Associates, Inc. is a consulting firm dedicated to crafting business, digital, and technological strategies, providing solutions, and addressing workforce needs.


Overview:

The IT Project Management Coordinator will focus on infrastructure and production engineering initiatives, overseeing the management of infrastructure production engineering components, logistics, budget allocations, system upgrades, and decommissioning processes.

Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the coordinator will be responsible for generating project documentation, managing deliverables, and providing regular status updates.

The ideal candidate should possess familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies. Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills are essential. A solid technical foundation and the ability to rapidly grasp strategic objectives are required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple concurrent operating system upgrades, refreshes, or decommissions.
  • Coordinate teams of highly skilled engineers.
  • Monitor project status, manage components, logistics, and budget.
  • Negotiate timelines and expectations with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update migration plans.
  • Communicate project expectations, risks, and escalations to the Project Manager.
  • Manage change control activities in accordance with PMO standards.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Effectively manage project scope, schedule, and finances while proactively identifying risks and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and stakeholders to develop effort assessments.

Apply various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met according to plan. Proficiently manage project activities using tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and MS Project.


Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in the media entertainment sector is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership qualities to drive, deliver, and inspire.
  • Results-driven with a commitment to completing tasks.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in documentation and tools.
  • Experience with project management software like Jira, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Foundational knowledge of infrastructure engineering technologies (compute, storage, network, database, platforms, operating systems, cloud, DevOps, infrastructure as code, front/back-end development).
  • Adaptable and capable of performing effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with team members.
  • Willingness to continuously learn about new technologies and project management methodologies.
