Position SummaryAs a Project Coordinator focusing on Managed Service Provider (MSP) transitions, you will collaborate closely with the Transition Manager, MSP Transition Leader, and advisory teams to ensure the effective delivery of transition projects from one MSP to another.
Primary Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Review and enhance the detailed project plan provided by the MSP Transition Leader, detailing tasks, timelines, and key milestones for the transition. Work alongside the Transition Manager and MSP Transition Leader to align project objectives with the overall transition strategy.
- Resource Allocation: Partner with the Transition Manager to efficiently allocate internal resources, ensuring that personnel and technological requirements are met. Collaborate with department heads to guarantee sufficient staffing and support throughout the transition.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with the MSP Transition Leader and Transition Manager to establish and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project status. Address concerns and manage expectations to ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks related to the project and collaborate with the Transition Manager to formulate mitigation strategies. Continuously monitor and manage risk factors to keep the project aligned with its objectives.
- Vendor Management: Engage with both the existing and new MSPs to ensure adherence to the transition plan and resolve any emerging issues. Assist the Transition Manager in preparing the new MSP to meet contractual obligations and achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Quality Control: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of the transition project. Collaborate with the Transition Manager to conduct regular evaluations, ensuring that the new MSP services align with organizational standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting summaries. Work with the Transition Manager to produce regular reports for leadership and stakeholders, summarizing project progress and outcomes.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Certifications: ITIL v4 or v3 certification.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Project Management; at least 3 years working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs); 5 years in PM & Strategic Planning; and 5 years in formal leadership roles, particularly in transformation and transition initiatives.
Essential Skills: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices; Agile methodologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps principles.
