We are currently in search of a Senior Process Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Construction & Engineering sector. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Role Summary:
The Senior Process Engineer will bring over 10 years of industry experience, primarily responsible for the design and optimization of processes in direct reduction plants and other technological projects. This role includes providing guidance to process engineers and overseeing project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the client’s Code of Ethics and ISO standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to reach consensus on project assignments.
  • Develop and analyze process flow diagrams (PFDs) and perform mass and energy balance calculations.
  • Create and manage Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and associated equipment lists.
  • Establish equipment specifications and manage process data for control systems.
  • Utilize proprietary software for process calculations and develop new calculation methodologies as required.
  • Conduct thorough process calculations and validate the work of fellow engineers.
  • Act as the Lead Process Engineer on various projects, coordinating with project management and senior engineering staff.
  • Review documentation from vendors and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development of operational guidelines for plant processes.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical & Instrumentation department to design new systems.
  • Assess and improve existing process designs with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) reviews, if certified.
  • Assist in training clients and support plant startups and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Provide support for proposal development and engineering man-hour estimations.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in Autodesk and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and process design.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with chemical process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus).
  • Certification in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) or HAZOP facilitation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience in industrial plant settings.
  • Previous international work experience.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in an industrial or technical setting, preferably in the steel sector.

Travel Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel 10% to 25% for project needs.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform desk work and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate project sites, including climbing structures.
