Sustainability, Health & Safety Program Manager

The Sustainability, Health & Safety (SHS) Program Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous improvement of the SHS program performance by implementing, adhering to, and evaluating the program.

This position supports operations management through consulting, coaching, and mentoring to ensure program implementation aligns with strategic performance targets as directed by their manager.

The SHS Program Manager develops and executes a 1-year business plan, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategic plan and immediate manager's business plan.

They ensure consistent application of the Badger safety program across the organization, by SHS professionals, Badger employees, and other stakeholders.

The SHS Program Manager adheres to and supports adoption of applicable regulatory changes and communicates the appropriate changes to Badger personnel.

They support accident and incident investigations, review, and preparation of incident reports and summaries, including the preparation and distribution of "Safety Alerts" from post-accident results.

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, provincial, and local safety, transportation, and environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of industry safety training
  • Vacuum, Pump Trucks, or Fleet
  • Commercial Underground Construction and/or Utilities

The salary for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
