Do you have a passion for environmental stewardship and the ability to lead cross-functional projects that align with the objectives of the Global Procurement Operations (GPO) team? We are seeking a proactive and results-focused leader to enhance Amazon's GPO sustainability initiatives on a global scale and to elevate the company's thought leadership in this area.

This position will oversee our sustainability initiatives and promote a unified GPO strategy for policy, engagement, and communication.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively across worldwide sustainability teams, procurement departments, and suppliers. They will possess strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence stakeholders throughout the organization.

In the short term, this role will also be instrumental in defining supplier expectations and monitoring supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and influence both internal stakeholders and key suppliers in a complex environment while upholding a customer-centric approach.
  • Develop thorough policies and codes of conduct, ensuring alignment with internal and external communication, and securing approval from PR and global engagement teams.
  • Ensure that procurement leaders and suppliers set targets that align with Amazon's Supply Chain Standards, including goal-setting and investment quantification.
  • Work closely with internal communications and PR teams to provide expertise in creating communication materials that meet stakeholder needs and align with business objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficient in utilizing data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience managing program strategy, overseeing end-to-end delivery, and communicating outcomes to senior leadership.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in driving process improvements.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
