Business Development Manager

About the Opportunity
Labcorp seeks a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base in the Greater Boston and NE Mass Territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a large existing book of business while introducing focus specialty products, analytical platforms, and workflow efficiencies to our clients.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Educate, instruct, and upsell assigned and newly generated accounts in an assigned territory
- Serve as a liaison between the client and Labcorp operations team regarding client needs
- Provide ongoing service and problem resolution to customer base
- Maintain customer retention by delivering superior customer service
- Recommend solutions that cater to client needs
- Manage client day-to-day operations and provide account management support
- Upsell current book of business to increase organic growth
- Collaborate with senior sales representatives to expand book of business
- Offer educational content to the client base
- Resolve customer-related issues efficiently
- Achieve and exceed monthly retention and upsell goals consistently
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous outside sales experience or account management experience of 3+ years preferred
- Healthcare industry experience beneficial
- Proven track record of managing a book of business
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to build trust-based relationships
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to deliver results in a fast-paced market environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel overnight as needed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
