About the Opportunity

Labcorp seeks a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base in the Greater Boston and NE Mass Territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a large existing book of business while introducing focus specialty products, analytical platforms, and workflow efficiencies to our clients.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate, instruct, and upsell assigned and newly generated accounts in an assigned territory
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and Labcorp operations team regarding client needs
  • Provide ongoing service and problem resolution to customer base
  • Maintain customer retention by delivering superior customer service
  • Recommend solutions that cater to client needs
  • Manage client day-to-day operations and provide account management support
  • Upsell current book of business to increase organic growth
  • Collaborate with senior sales representatives to expand book of business
  • Offer educational content to the client base
  • Resolve customer-related issues efficiently
  • Achieve and exceed monthly retention and upsell goals consistently

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous outside sales experience or account management experience of 3+ years preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience beneficial
  • Proven track record of managing a book of business
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to build trust-based relationships
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to deliver results in a fast-paced market environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
