We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Software Development Manager to join our team at Magna International. This role is responsible for overseeing the development of our core software product, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and secure. With 10+ years of experience in backend development and a strong focus on cloud technologies, you will lead a team of developers to design, develop, and maintain server-side components of our applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are optimized for cloud platforms and leverage cloud-native features.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week onsite in our Lowell, MA office and 2 days per week remote. As a Cloud Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Design & Development: Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems and APIs, integrating with front-end components.
  • Cloud Integration: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy, manage, and scale applications, implementing cloud-based solutions for storage, computing, and networking.
  • Database Management: Design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance, working with both SQL and NoSQL databases as needed.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ Years of Experience: In backend development with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go lang, Python, Node.js, C/C++ or Java, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation).
  • Certifications: Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
