Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician specializing in medium-duty trucks and equipment to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet Maintenance Duties (90%):
    Ensure equipment readiness by performing inspections and preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements.
  • Maintain vehicle functionality by addressing operator concerns, conducting thorough inspections, and repairing mechanical and electrical system failures.
  • Adhere to state vehicle regulations by testing engines and ensuring compliance with safety and combustion standards.
  • Keep shop equipment operational by following instructions, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary maintenance.
  • Document vehicle service and repairs electronically to maintain accurate records.
  • Manage costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service options.
  • Collaborate with field personnel and management to optimize equipment usage and reduce costs.
  • Contribute to maintenance goals by completing related tasks as required.

  • Equipment Repair Duties (10%):
    Conduct necessary repairs, including replacing worn or damaged components, and perform regular servicing using various tools.
  • Adjust engines and other assemblies, and examine critical parts for wear or damage using specialized tools.
  • Test equipment regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform routine inspections and conduct welding repairs as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience in hydraulic systems repair, aerial device maintenance, and welding is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with Air Brake Endorsement is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in diverse weather conditions. Safety precautions must be adhered to at all times.
