Role Overview:

This position is situated within the Enterprise Engineering (EE) division, which is dedicated to establishing technical standards, tools, processes, training, and expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE enables all business units at Blue Origin to leverage shared capabilities, hardware, and software, while assisting in the identification, selection, and training of engineers from various backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement tailored Windchill solutions utilizing Windchill APIs and the Windchill Object Model.
  • Facilitate integration initiatives between Windchill and other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Create custom actions, wizards, workflows, lifecycles, and policies within the Windchill environment.
  • Develop and maintain user interfaces for Windchill using JSP and Java.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges associated with Windchill customizations.
  • Generate and uphold technical documentation for Windchill modifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users regarding customized Windchill functionalities.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Windchill and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with Windchill PLM software, particularly in customization development.
  • Proficiency in Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, and other Windchill modules.
  • Strong programming capabilities in Java, JSP, and XML.
  • Experience in Windchill customization using Windchill APIs and the Windchill Object Model.
  • Knowledge of Windchill system administration, including user management and security settings.
  • Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must meet U.S. citizenship or residency requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL scripting.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of CAD integration with Windchill.
  • Experience with web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and code management practices.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
