Job Summary

The National & Key Account Sales Planner role leads the execution of initiatives to support the team's customer-specific business plans. They will utilize data and information to deliver efficiencies and assist in strategic account planning for the duration of each year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure each plan is consistent with the business and category strategies and specific sales initiatives, and support the establishment of sales goals, objectives, and related metrics.
  • Coordinate, collect, and provide analysis for National & Key Account execution including, but not limited to CRM metrics, SIP tracking, NPD execution, and contract compliance.
  • Manage sales territory alignment and account list for National and Key Accounts.
  • Organize and manage RFP responses, and support the tactical execution of new products and awards.
  • Track contract volume and timing for existing and prospective customers.
  • Analyze, collect, and edit material for customer reviews as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support sales execution, including but not limited to opportunity management, price program support, sales forecasting, logistical planning, warehousing, gap analysis, and contingency planning.
  • Provide training and support to sales within Simplot's processes and software systems (Salesforce, PowerBI, Highspot, etc).
  • Consistently collaborate with Senior Director of National & Key Accounts and Director of Key Accounts to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Serve as conduit for all sales-related communication relative to the scope of this position.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university.
  • Relevant Experience 3-5 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Must have strong partnering skills, with the ability to effectively influence peers as well as more senior sales professionals.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, as well as strong organization skills required.
  • Interest and ability to move into a more senior sales leadership role, which would likely require geographic relocation.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated ability to analyze data, and proven presentation skills.
  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
