This position reports to

Advanced Manufacturing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this capacity, you will serve as a design authority for an engineering discipline characterized by low to medium complexity. Each day, you will engage in tasks related to small projects or segments of larger initiatives in a cost-efficient manner. You will demonstrate your expertise by implementing fundamental design thinking and design for excellence principles in your work. The role operates under an Onsite work model. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Supporting production initiation and scaling plans through project management by delivering technical assistance for testing, installation, and commissioning tasks.
• Aiding in the preparation of proposals and presentations for engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to conduct design verification in accordance with relevant standards and engineering protocols.
• Developing and maintaining essential manufacturing process documentation, including facility layouts, process flow diagrams, capacity and utilization assessments, takt time evaluations, time and motion studies, standard operating procedures, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include: Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Project Management, SAP, Manufacturing, ProPlanner, FlexSim, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Value Stream Mapping, and Labor Routings.
  • This position may require occasional availability for 2nd shift work.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
