Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in overseeing all customer, supplier, internal, and external audits. The individual will manage the maintenance of all procedural and documentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and processes while preventing Nonconforming Products (NCP).
  • Act as the AS9100 Rev D Management Representative, facilitating Certification Body Audits and supporting Customer Audits.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and propose actionable recommendations for improvements.
  • Document quality assurance activities and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Utilize statistical methods and metrics to drive product improvement and process control.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding quality issues and resolutions.
  • Analyze data and perform Pareto analysis on problematic parts and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Projects and initiatives across the facility.
  • Support the Safety Committee in promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications

Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience: Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems is preferred. Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in quality assurance tools, methodologies, and concepts.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including 8D methodology.
  • Knowledge of process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Working knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data collection and analytical capabilities.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Engineer.
