As a vital member of ABB Holdings Inc, the Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the assembly of high-quality products that meet stringent company standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products according to engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production goals.
- Utilize computer systems to monitor schedules and update the status of manufacturing jobs.
- Conduct operator-based Go-No Go testing in accordance with established procedures.
- Continuously assess the quality of components used in the assembly process.
- Assist in training new employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
- Perform material handling tasks as necessary.
- Review and suggest improvements to assembly processes to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate essential information accurately.
- Complete and maintain all necessary documentation, including records and reject tickets.
- Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of six months of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience is necessary.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding assembly instructions, drawings, and procedural manuals in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure.
- Competence in operating a variety of hand and power tools, including wire strippers, crimping tools, soldering tools, and precision measuring devices.
- Candidates must possess work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
