Position Overview

As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to enhance safety and optimize manufacturing operations within our facilities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring safe working practices while striving to improve conversion costs, which directly influences our competitiveness and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize safety in all daily activities, addressing production crew needs, and implementing process enhancements for quality, waste reduction, and productivity improvements.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of World Class Operations Management.
  • Analyze ongoing issues related to process, quality, production efficiency, and waste, and develop effective solutions.
  • Provide training to machine operators on new equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain a system for standard operating conditions to ensure consistent manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with plant resources to guarantee technical support is available for production at all times.
  • Work alongside manufacturing supervisors and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Evaluate projects and waivers to optimize scheduling and minimize risks associated with machine downtime.
  • Facilitate equipment modifications to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Document procedures aimed at safely increasing machine productivity while maintaining product quality.
  • Participate in training sessions for machine operators regarding new installations and modifications.
  • May supervise engineering co-op students based on experience and workload.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with trade journals, technical seminars, and equipment supplier contacts.
  • Engagement in professional development in areas such as communication, problem-solving, and quality systems.
