Position Summary

The Conference Services Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that all meeting spaces and public areas are presented to the highest standards of professionalism. This position involves close collaboration with the Conference Manager and Catering Manager to meet all requirements before events commence. The ideal candidate will work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-sufficiency in preparing conference rooms according to established Banquet Event Orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and reset meeting spaces in accordance with daily Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
  • Collaborate directly with the Conference Manager on various tasks, including room setup standards, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
  • Maintain the accuracy of meeting room setups and standards.
  • Conduct daily reviews of meeting rooms using BEO sheets to ensure all details are addressed.
  • Assist the Catering Manager and team with the setup, service, and breakdown of food service for events.
  • Report any facility issues through the maintenance request system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality work while meeting customer expectations.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions.
