About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician Aide to join our team at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing support and care to our clients, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility, grounds, and client whereabouts, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients upon arrival and ensuring a smooth transition into our care.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the unit, ensuring a comfortable and respectful environment for all clients.
  • Assist with laundry duties, ensuring that all clients' needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor client job function assignments, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Perform reception and general administrative support duties, including filing and data entry.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Coordinate discharges, working closely with the treatment and case management teams to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some experience working with clients who have behavioral health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and colleagues.
  • Basic typing and computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with the ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
