Position Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the human resources department at Victoria Flax. This position involves overseeing and providing strategic guidance to management regarding staffing strategies, compensation structures, employee benefits, training initiatives, budgeting processes, and labor relations.

The Specialist is expected to actively contribute to cultivating the organizational culture that Victoria Flax aims to foster, thereby empowering employees to align their performance with the company's core Values, Mission, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers employee health and welfare programs, including managing enrollments, modifications, and terminations. Ensures accurate documentation is processed through payroll and insurance providers.
  • Provides customer service by addressing employee inquiries and requests.
  • Maintains and verifies personnel records in compliance with company policies and relevant State and Federal regulations, including I9 documentation and necessary licenses.
  • Facilitates online investigation requests and assists with background checks for new hires.
  • Supports the termination process and related documentation.
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of the performance evaluation process.
  • Manages the recruitment and interview procedures, tracking candidate statuses in the HRIS and sending follow-up communications post-recruitment.
  • Organizes and files documents into the appropriate employee records.
  • Prepares correspondence as needed.
  • Develops and oversees employee retention initiatives.
  • Prepares files for new employees.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
