About the Role

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Assistant Director of Human Resources. This key role will be responsible for leading the recruitment and employee engagement efforts for the Columbus Service Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for faculty and staff positions.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions and interview questions.
  • Source and assess candidates through online channels and professional networks.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Assist with employee affirmative action and equal employment opportunity programs.
  • Represent the College at community, civic, and professional meetings and conferences.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Human Resources and Campus Leadership team to identify employee engagement gaps.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to uncover and identify gaps.
  • Assist academic chairs with the recruitment and hiring of adjunct faculty.
  • Oversee adjunct onboarding processes, including new employee paperwork, compliance status, training, and orientation.
  • Plan and oversee the annual campus Employee Recognition Program.
  • Lead the employee engagement committee.
  • Coordinate and deliver training opportunities for staff and faculty.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • One to three years of related work experience, or an associate degree or industry-related certification and three to four years of related work experience.
  • One year of full-cycle recruitment experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to three years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Workday HCM experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Employee event planning experience or involvement.
