Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of collections specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful operations.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and identify past due accounts, working closely with the Corporate Credit Manager to resolve any issues.
  • Run, approve, or deny credit applications, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including supervising collectors and ensuring adherence to company policy and procedures.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers, handling complex cases with confidence and diplomacy.
  • Conduct agents' call monitoring and evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Create and update procedural manuals for the department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Process credit card, ACH payments, and research and process charge backs, returns, and NSF items with precision and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the billing and sales teams for collections follow-up, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Prepare monthly reports and analysis on the status of credit and collection matters, meeting with assigned partners to review and strategize.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing and training staff.
  • 4-5 years of collections and customer service experience, with a strong background in debt collections.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • A team leader with the ability to motivate, empower, and inspire others, with a passion for waste management and customer service.
