We are seeking an Architectural Cost Estimator at a Specialist level for airport and other construction endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and price materials and labor for structural and architectural building projects, including value engineering and life-cycle cost assessments.
  • Envision, strategize, and estimate architectural and structural costs at a preliminary level without complete detail and documentation.
  • Comprehend mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical components of the project and collaborate with those disciplines to ensure comprehensive scope coverage.
  • Engage, solicit, and interact with subcontractors across various trades to gather pricing information.
  • Educate and mentor colleagues on both technical and non-technical subjects, sharing expertise throughout the organization.
  • Lead and coordinate an internal team to meet project objectives, ensuring timely delivery of outputs, producing reports that align with Connico's core values and high-quality standards, utilizing and training other Connico personnel, communicating project modifications or challenges to the organization, and maintaining budget adherence.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships through regular engagement, both on projects and in non-project-related interactions.
  • Manage a diverse workload effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying and estimating, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in cost estimation is required.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings and specifications (both at advanced design levels and during the planning phase), quantity takeoffs, and models, as well as architectural and engineering reports is essential.
  • Familiarity with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, MII, or Success is necessary.
  • Proficiency in estimating using CSI Masterformat and UniFormat, along with knowledge of common estimating terminology, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, and developing estimates for major projects, including accountability for timely deliverables, budget management, integrating elements from various divisions, and effectively communicating with clients is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCP, CPE, RICS, CEP, or PE are required.
  • Experience in the aviation sector is highly preferred but not mandatory.


Connico provides a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary starting at $110k, with bonus opportunities and ongoing growth potential. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This position offers a full-time hybrid work arrangement (in-office on T, W, TH) or a full-time remote opportunity for the right candidate.
