About the Job

**Director, Business Development - Licensing & Commercial Supply**

Vets Hired is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our Licensing & Commercial Supply efforts. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive growth through OEM and licensing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying and pursuing high-value OEM and licensing opportunities, leveraging our company's enabling technologies and expertise.
  • Analyze industry trends and market dynamics to stay ahead of the competition and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class engagement models, business terms, and agreements for licensing and OEM partnerships.
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop relationships with new leads and existing customers to build a robust pipeline and drive new business growth in the Life Sciences and adjacent industries.
  • As needed, lead the hiring and management of additional team members to support partnership development and growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer champions and executive stakeholders to drive long-term, strategic partnerships and capture measurable value.
  • Lead contract negotiations to protect project margins while securing trust with customers.
  • Collaborate with global marketing, product management, and sales teams to develop and execute selling strategies and product offerings.
  • Secure and nurture customer references to speak on behalf of Vets Hired through testimonials, industry events, joint marketing activities, and prospect outreach.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of business development experience, with a strong focus on OEM and/or CRO/CDMO markets.
  • MS/PhD and relevant experience a plus.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Customer-centric approach with the ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills, with the ability to sell the value of our diverse portfolio.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
