Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maritime Security Officer to join our team at Martinez and Company, Inc. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure Security Team, you will play a vital role in protecting our homeland and ensuring the safety of our clients' interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security services for the Port of Tampa Bay, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
  • Work in partnership with local and federal law enforcement agencies to maintain a secure environment.
  • Exercise good judgment and follow directions to ensure the effective execution of security protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on maritime security enforcement guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Florida Class D Unarmed Officer license.
  • Be in possession of, or be willing to obtain, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.).
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in security or supervisory-related positions.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable, personally owned transportation and the ability to commute to various job sites as assigned.
  • Basic computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing.
  • Ability to safely work in a variety of environments, including commercial and industrial locations.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines, including MTSA and laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.
  • Prior veteran, military, or law enforcement experience.
