Job Summary

MARTINEZ AND COMPANY, INC. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maritime Security Officer to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for protecting our Homeland and assets under Homeland Security guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with Local and Federal Law Enforcement to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform duties in accordance with maritime security enforcement guidelines, including MTSA and laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County.
  • Control access to secured areas and ensure only previously cleared individuals are granted access.
  • Work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Florida Class "D" license from the Florida State Division of Licensing DOACS.
  • Be in possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.).
  • Have a valid Driver's license and clean driving history.
  • Minimum one (1) year's work experience in security or supervisory-related positions.
  • Ability to work well individually and with little or no managerial oversight.
  • Strong English communication skills, including Reading and Writing.
  • Ability to safely work in a variety of work environments.
  • Ability to obtain personal uniform items as necessary.
  • Must be in good physical condition and capable of performing job-related tasks.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.
  • Prior veteran, military/law enforcement preference.
