Job Overview

Standard Electric Supply Co. is currently seeking a skilled professional for the position of Control Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely response to customer inquiries, including requests for pricing, product details, and technical assistance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and manufacturing representatives to enhance customer engagement and retention.
  • Support Business Development Specialists in managing our customer base.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with designated suppliers.
  • Utilize product expertise to recommend suitable application solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation products such as PLCs, AC Drives, Motion Control, Sensing Technologies, and HMIs is advantageous.
  • Experience in distribution or a solid understanding of industrial automation and control systems is a plus.
  • A strong desire to learn about the industrial automation sector with a leading wholesale electrical distributor is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • A valid driver's license and personal transportation for client visits are required.
