Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Aviation Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this capacity, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Garmin's avionic products and deliver exceptional technical assistance to our clients and distributors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to technical inquiries from customers and installers regarding Garmin products through various communication channels.
  • Coordinate the return of equipment for factory repairs and manage exchanges for out-of-box failures.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between customers and various departments within the organization.
  • Track, document, and analyze failure trends in Garmin equipment, proposing enhancements to products, documentation, and processes.
  • Evaluate special cases and authorize warranty services when appropriate.
  • Review pilot guides, installation manuals, and maintenance documentation for accuracy and clarity.
  • Participate in a rotation for 24/7 technical support coverage in the aviation sector.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent military/trade school experience, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively across various functions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems and avionic subsystems.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at the LRU level and repair diverse avionic systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an aircraft maintenance facility or manufacturing environment.
  • Possession of a Pilot's License.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and installing Garmin avionics systems.
