Customer Quality Specialist

East West Tea Company LLC is currently in search of a talented, motivated, and experienced Customer Quality Specialist to become a vital member of our committed Quality team.

The primary duties of the Customer Quality Specialist encompass managing quality initiatives to ensure adherence to dietary supplement manufacturing and distribution regulations. This position requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill customer expectations regarding food safety and quality. The specialist will be responsible for generating and presenting reports that monitor quality metrics, collaborating with production teams to resolve consumer and customer inquiries, and overseeing the quality approval and release of production batch documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support

  • Promptly investigate quality and food safety concerns
  • Deliver clear and consistent communication to customers regarding scientific and quality issues
  • Manage customer portals and supply requested documentation
  • Serve as a technical resource for the sales team

Assist Document Control and Production Specialist

  • Support the development of Bill of Materials and Master Manufacturing Records
  • Authorize production batch documentation for quality compliance
  • Act as a backup for the Document Control Specialist when necessary

Continuous Improvement

  • Create and present regular business reports
  • Engage in internal audits and Quality Management Systems activities
  • Build strong relationships with Operations Quality Directors and Plant Leadership Teams
  • Participate in the material review board process for customer-related issues
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality role, with 3-5 years in the food industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with CFR compliance
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
