PPS-HPS is in search of a skilled and meticulous Quality Assurance Technician for our aluminum extrusion operations. The primary duty of the Lab Technician is to conduct mechanical assessments of extruded materials in line with client specifications and ASA (Aluminum Standard Association) standards. As a vital member of the Quality Department, the Lab Technician will ensure that all tasks are executed and recorded in compliance with quality protocols.

This position is a full-time, permanent role on the 3rd shift, offering a competitive salary, exceptional benefits, and significant opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and accurately operate tensile testing machinery.
  • Train team members on measurement techniques to meet ASA tolerances.
  • Perform quality evaluations on aluminum throughout all stages of processing.
  • Collect and document data according to customer specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain a tidy quality laboratory and production area.
  • Champion the highest standards of product quality and support the Quality Management System.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required, adaptable to a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the aluminum extrusion sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills and technical aptitude.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and communication.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
