**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that our products meet Farwest Steel's standards, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Research and write non-conformance/returned goods authorizations as needed.
- Perform formal First Article Inspections and record data on internal and/or customer-provided documentation.
- Develop and maintain written procedures for Farwest Steel, including QWIs (Quality Work Instructions), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and Quality Manual Revision.
- Conduct weld inspections, including visual, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections.
- Provide training for operators and other inspectors, as well as instructional classes for prints.
**Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong print reading and mathematical calculation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Proficient use of PC software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- At least three years of inspection experience.
- Familiarity with Romer Arm, FARO Arm, or other CMM. Planar equipment is a plus.
- Weld inspection experience.
