Job Summary

The Director of Business Development will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding business opportunities for AEG. This position will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase corporate ticket sales, sponsorship revenue, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales campaigns to drive new business initiatives and increase revenue growth.
  • Lead Sales Team: Work closely with sales leaders to develop tactics for converting single-game buyers to new season ticket members and groups.
  • Qualify and Distribute Sales Leads: Collaborate with analytics to qualify and distribute sales leads to ensure maximum conversion rates.
  • Implement Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for sales training to enhance sales processes and increase revenue growth.
  • Attend Sales Meetings: Attend sales meetings with sales reps as needed to provide guidance and support.
  • Meet Sales Goals: Meet or exceed team and personal annual sales goals to drive revenue growth.
  • Proactively Solicit New Leads: Proactively solicit and follow-up on new leads through referrals, networking, and prospecting businesses.
  • Attend Networking Events: Attend networking events in the community to generate new business prospects.
  • Develop Business Relationships: Develop and grow business relationships to ensure organizational revenue growth.
  • Establish Strong Relationships: Establish strong relationships throughout the corporate community both locally and nationally.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with other members of the Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and other organizational departments to analyze, acquire, and implement strategic partnerships that align with organizational objectives.
  • Client Satisfaction and Retention: Evaluate client satisfaction, retention, and growth to ensure maximum revenue growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in relationship building and networking skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, time-management, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Aggressive Prospector: Aggressive prospector and highly self-motivated to excel in sales.
  • Face-to-Face Sales Presentations: Comfortable making face-to-face sales presentations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task.
  • Coachable and Positive Attitude: Coachable and possess a positive attitude.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, experience with Tickets.com Pro-venue a plus.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (holidays, evenings).
  • Exemplary Customer Service: Deliver exemplary customer service.
Education and Experience Guidelines
  • College Degree: College degree - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 7-10 Years Sales Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years sales experience in a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years management experience.
