Overview:


The Corporate Communications team at Chick-fil-A collaborates across the organization to deliver impactful and engaging communications that enhance culture, facilitate change, and align with business objectives.

This team acts as a communications service provider for all of Chick-fil-A, Inc. and its Vertical Business Lines. The selected candidate will help advance the team's mission of fostering clarity and alignment by motivating, educating, and equipping key stakeholders.
In particular, this role will spearhead the communications strategy and initiatives for Distribution-related programs within the Supply Chain department of Chick-fil-A, Inc.

This includes serving as a strategic liaison between the Corporate Communications & External Affairs teams and Chick-fil-A's Vertical Business Lines (VBLs), such as Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods, while also acting as the communications lead for Supply Chain Distribution.


Given the rapid growth and transformation in these areas, this position will require consulting on a diverse range of topics, from strategic planning to program execution.

The individual will work in tandem with other communications functions to develop integrated plans and will serve as a communications expert for the Vertical Business Lines, providing guidance to functional leadership on effective communication practices, as well as supporting communications directed towards Operators and Restaurants.


Additionally, this role will lead the development of a content strategy model and process for Staff communications at Chick-fil-A, ensuring long-term planning and timely dissemination of essential information and culture to Staff across various locations and functions, including the VBLs.

This individual may also collaborate with the Director of Staff Communications to implement complex and transformative communication strategies for key leaders and initiatives that support Staff, including the evolution of a departmental communications support framework.

Responsibilities:


Act as the strategic communications lead to provide business insights on key communications strategies and initiatives for Vertical Business Lines, aligning with Chick-fil-A, Inc. strategies as necessary.
Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that effectively reaches key audiences with targeted messaging and tactics across strategic and executive communications; urgent and event-related communications; program communications.
Oversee crisis and event-related communications, including on-call responsibilities for product withdrawals/recalls and weather-related disruptions affecting supply.
Lead a cross-functional team that integrates Vertical Business Line and Chick-fil-A, Inc. Staff to ensure cohesive execution of the communications strategy.
Drive the evolution of internal content strategy and planning for Staff communications.
Serve as a communications liaison on multiple cross-functional teams, advising and influencing both lateral teams and senior leadership.

Develop and implement major deadline-driven communications initiatives, ensuring they are completed on budget and on time, utilizing a mix of vendors, contractors, agencies, and in-house resources.

Continue to establish and integrate guidelines and organizational norms for communication across the function, including the development and rollout of best-in-class processes.
This role necessitates experience in agency or corporate communications and the ability to work collaboratively across various functions and communication channels, such as print, video, online, and events. Internal staff communications experience is also highly valued.

Minimum Qualifications:
A relationship builder with a collaborative approach, capable of influencing and aligning at all levels across multiple teams, departments, and subsidiary businesses.
A strategic communicator comfortable leading in uncertain environments, willing to evaluate, make informed recommendations to leadership, and execute communication plans.
Ability to maintain composure and lead in high-pressure, rapidly changing situations.
Comfortable working both independently and within matrixed teams.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing external agency partners/consultants and overseeing a budget.
