Overview

At Chick-fil-A, our Corporate Communications team collaborates across the organization to deliver impactful and engaging communications that enhance our culture, facilitate change, and align with our business objectives. This role is pivotal in supporting our vision of fostering clarity and alignment by motivating, educating, and equipping essential audiences.

Key Responsibilities

This position will spearhead the communications strategy for Distribution-related initiatives within the Supply Chain division of Chick-fil-A, Inc. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison and strategic advisor between Corporate Communications and External Affairs teams and the Vertical Business Lines (VBLs), such as Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods.
  • Leading communications efforts for Supply Chain Distribution, ensuring effective messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Consulting on a diverse range of topics, from strategic planning to program execution, in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Collaborating with various communications functions to develop integrated communication plans and serving as a subject matter expert for VBLs.
  • Advising functional leadership on best practices in communications and supporting outreach to Operators and Restaurants.

Content Strategy Development

In addition, this role will be responsible for establishing a content strategy framework for Staff communications that promotes long-term planning and timely dissemination of vital information across multiple regions and functions, including VBLs. This may involve partnering with the Director of Staff Communications to implement innovative communication strategies for key leaders and initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and build consensus across various teams and departments.
  • Strategic communication skills, with a comfort level in navigating ambiguity and making informed recommendations to leadership.
  • The capability to remain composed and lead effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience managing external agency partners and overseeing budgets.

Experience Required

A minimum of 8 years in agency or corporate communications is required, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Business Management.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
