Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a vital role within the corporate controllers group, tasked with interpreting and applying intricate accounting regulations across various accounting functions in support of the broader Finance and Accounting Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file the Company's external financial reports, including all necessary 10-Q's, 10-K's, and select 8-K's with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • Collaborate with Legal and HR to draft and submit the Company's annual proxy statement.
  • Assist the Investor Relations team in ensuring the accuracy of publicly shared documents, including press releases, investor presentations, and supporting materials.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and journal entries to facilitate the monthly and quarterly closing processes.
  • Support the corporate accounting team in executing monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Identify and implement enhancements for the corporate accounting processes, focusing on automation opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members while fostering collaboration with other business units.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors to facilitate their quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Research and offer insights on complex accounting transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and SOX controls, maintaining thorough documentation of control performance.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend accounting standards and guidelines.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a public accounting firm (preferred) or corporate accounting within a public company.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to self-manage and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
