POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the accurate and courteous check-in and check-out of guests.

Shift Requirements: Weekdays and weekends, including morning, evening, and mid shifts based on occupancy levels.

Physical Demands:
  1. Standing/Walking: Constantly. At front desk on tile or carpet.
  2. Crouching: Frequently. When retrieving supplies from cabinets or picking items up from the floor.
  3. Stooping: Moderately. For accessing keys, supplies, and completing paperwork.
  4. Twisting: Constantly. When engaging with multiple guests and retrieving materials.
  5. Reaching: Constantly. For passing materials to guests over the front desk.
  6. Handling: Constantly. Involves handling telephones, documents, and other supplies.
  7. Pushing/Pulling: Average weight frequently 5 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 20 lbs.
  8. Lifting/Carrying: Average frequently 5 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
  1. Interior of hotel, in a climate-controlled office environment.
  2. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Qualifications:
  1. Excellent customer service skills.
  2. 1 year of experience in a hotel setting as a front desk agent preferred.
  3. 2 years of previous customer service experience.
  4. Strong English communication and organizational skills.
  5. Availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Check guests in and out in a friendly manner.
  2. Become proficient in Hotel Operating System and phone system.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of front desk procedures, hotel services, and local information.
  4. Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
  5. Assist guests with inquiries and provide information.
  6. Accurately handle cash transactions and maintain hotel records.
  7. Maintain good customer relations by being aware of in-house and area functions.
  8. Operate PBX equipment for incoming and outgoing calls.
  9. Control cash transactions at the front desk.
  10. Update information in the computer system as needed.
  11. Complete all opening and closing duties as per checklist.
  12. Act as Manager on Duty when necessary.
  13. Communicate with other departments to fulfill guests' needs.
  14. Effectively handle workplace problems as they arise.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Attend required meetings.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  3. Exhibit courtesy towards customers and colleagues.
  4. Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  5. Adhere to all safety and security policies.
  6. Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition.
  7. Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
