OFFICE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT / REVENUE MANAGEMENT

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is situated within the Office of Financial Management (OFM), under the Revenue Management section.

This is a full-time opportunity that collaborates closely with the financial data of the agency, ensuring that all information is precise, secure, and adheres to accounting standards.

This position necessitates exceptional customer service abilities as it involves engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting audits on receipts to ascertain the appropriate revenue sources and accounting classifications;
- Investigating receipts for application to client accounts;
- Receiving and reconciling receipt bundles against batches entered in the Revenue Accounting Management System (RAMS);
- Importing data files and reconciling receipts to ensure accuracy;
- Diligently recording receipts received by OFM into the RAMS and/or FLAIR;
- Processing and reversing receipts in the RAMS that need to be returned to clients;
- Maintaining a pending file and adhering to established protocols for escalating issues;
- Accurately documenting deposits in an Excel spreadsheet;
- Performing daily remote deposits of receipt bundles to the financial institution;
- Ensuring that each transfer of custody of cash payments is documented in the receipt ledger.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures;
- Familiarity with data collection methodologies;
- Capability to analyze and interpret financial data;
- Ability to comprehend and apply relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures associated with accounting programs;
- Competence in planning, organizing, and coordinating work tasks;
- Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication;
- Skill in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships;
- Aptitude for employing problem-solving techniques;

Proficiency in computer software, including basic skills in database and spreadsheet applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.


BASE SALARY:
$44,290.00

The starting salary will align with the minimum of the designated pay range, subject to the agency's pay policy.

BACKGROUND CHECK:
FDLE mandates a comprehensive background check for all recommended candidates.

This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.

Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have successfully completed at least six months of the probationary period in their current role.
