Human Resources Director Job Description

The American Heart Association is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Director to join our team in the Midwest region. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support to employees throughout their lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and talent succession.
  • Advise employees and managers on HR programs and procedures, including organizational development and employee engagement.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in culture, leadership, and processes.
  • Create and facilitate virtual leadership and individual contributor trainings.
  • Lead assigned region-wide HR projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR preferred.
  • Three (3) years of proven experience in HR.
  • At least two (2) years' experience providing employee and leadership coaching.
  • Training facilitation experience preferred.
