Senior Project Scheduler

The Senior Project Scheduler will play a crucial role in the development, oversight, and evaluation of CPM schedules. This position involves conducting impact assessments, analyzing risks associated with intricate projects, executing forensic schedule and cost evaluations, and engaging with clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed schedules utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM), ensuring resource and cost loading as required, adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
  • Oversee and manage multiple intricate project schedules, providing regular tracking and status updates.
  • Assist clients in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating risks related to scheduling.
  • Conduct thorough schedule assessments, including evaluations of critical paths, schedule content, relationships, constraints, and milestones, applying industry knowledge for general assessments.
  • Execute forensic analysis for construction claims, including document organization, identification of key issues, schedule evaluations, productivity studies, and preparation of graphical exhibits for expert reports.
  • Analyze project cost reports, labor distribution data, and other financial information related to projects.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Critical Path Method Scheduling.
  • Demonstrate construction industry experience.
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills through identification and analysis.
  • Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as necessary.
  • Work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in response to changing requirements.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective collaborator.
  • Interact professionally with all levels of personnel, including management, field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Develop and update CPM Construction Schedules, incorporating changes to baselines and performing monthly updates.
  • Understand earned value methodology, scope control, and change management principles.
  • Create Time Impact Analyses to monitor project delays.
  • Familiarity with basic cost analysis and forecasting in relation to planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to interpret construction blueprints and specifications for schedule development.
  • Resource load and cost load schedules effectively.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess expert-level experience with Primavera P6.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct scheduling and claims experience within the construction sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Critical Path Method of scheduling as it pertains to construction projects.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts across various project types and disciplines.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with schedule delay principles and techniques.
  • Preference for candidates with construction field experience.
  • AACEI and PMI certifications are advantageous.
