About the Role

Friedman Management is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of major capital improvement projects across our 18 million square foot portfolio of office, industrial, and retail assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop the scope and criteria for, and oversee the implementation of, major capital improvement projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and compliance with municipal requirements.
  • Building Systems Optimization: Analyze and optimize HVAC systems and equipment to increase efficiency and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and costs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, project managers, and HVAC service technicians to ensure successful project execution and maintenance of building systems.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with clients, service managers, directors of facilities, and property managers to understand project requirements, goals, and design specifications, ensuring seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for employees and occupants.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Engineering Project Manager or in a similar role, with a strong background in building systems, project management, and team leadership.
  • Skills: Proficiency in building networking/BAS/controls systems, such as Tridium and Niagara, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to project management.
