Legal Administrative Coordinator

Position Overview: The role designated within this classification offers essential judicial administrative support services tailored for Superior Courts, specifically in the areas of Guardianship Monitoring, Family Court Facilitation, or Criminal Coordination Programs. The individual in this position will provide specialized program assistance under the guidance of a Court Coordinator overseeing the designated program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guardian Monitoring Program: Evaluate needs and deliver information and technical support to both professional and non-professional guardians.
- Identify necessary forms and documents, assisting guardians in adhering to statutory obligations, local court regulations, and court procedures.
- Review documentation prior to submission to the Clerk's Office.
- Examine court files and reports submitted by volunteers.
- Determine if further information is required from guardians or if reports are ready for Court Commissioner approval.
- Support the Coordinator in recruiting, training, and delegating tasks to volunteers and interns.
- Prepare and assess files to ensure a balanced workload for volunteers.
- Assist in creating and distributing guardianship information packets and instructional materials.
- Draft personalized legal documents for Court Commissioners.
- Act as a liaison between the public, attorneys, pro se litigants, state agencies, and the Clerk's Office.
- Process court orders, including conforming copies and communication with relevant parties.
Criminal Coordinator Program: Participate in facilitating in-custody and out-of-custody court appearances, managing schedules, and generating orders using software across multiple calendars.
Family Court Facilitator Program: Serve as a mediator between the superior court and the public, providing information and policy interpretation on sensitive issues, and assisting pro se litigants in navigating court requirements.
Qualifications: An Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field, along with two years of administrative experience, including one year in a court or legal environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities: Proficient knowledge of court rules, legal terminology, and case processing procedures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with judges, attorneys, and the public. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain confidentiality.
