About the Role

Aetos Systems is seeking a highly skilled System Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update system requirements and configurations for communication system work requirements.
  • Develop, prepare, and process work requirements for support requests, mission program requirements, and support documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between customer, engineering, field system specialists, technicians, other contractors, subcontractors, and other organizations when coordinating work requirements and support requests.
  • Review work orders for implemented changes and update affected support documentation.
  • Review and coordinate real-time scheduling requirements. Resolve or escalate to management work-related conflicts between competing organizations for work resources.
  • Participate in meetings and technical discussions as necessary to ensure complete understanding of system support requirements.
  • Review and respond to program requirements documentation, operation requirements/directives, program support plans, maintenance instruction, support plans, and support requirements.
  • Create and update support documents for supporting configuration of operational systems.
  • Provide, update, and maintain all required documentation, reports, and logs, manually or in electronic databases.
  • Make recommendations to improve work quality, efficiencies, and productivity.
  • Adhere to OSHA, NASA, Company, and customer safety requirements.
  • May assist in training others.
Requirements
  • Extensive technical knowledge in applicable communication systems.
  • A wide and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of both general and specific aspects of the applicable communication system circuits and the application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
  • Must obtain and identify circuit requirements for customer and how these circuit requirements impact other organizations.
  • Work is performed with minimal management oversight.
  • Complete and maintain company and customer certification/training requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to pass a NASA background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass an initial and random drug testing.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
Education and Experience
  • Associate of Science or Technical Trade School in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, plus 6 years related experience.
  • Experience may be substituted for Education: 1.5 years related experience is equivalent to 1 year of formal education.
