EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST (HR INVESTIGATIONS)


As an Employee Relations Specialist at Space Exploration Technologies Corp, you will have the chance to collaborate with some of the most skilled professionals in the industry. Your role will involve implementing people strategies aimed at talent retention, advising employees and management on HR policies, and ensuring that the mission of Space Exploration Technologies Corp is consistently realized for all team members.

We act as trusted advisors, offering insights and feedback to our client groups while driving efficiencies and best practices in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Address employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing information, guidance, and direction on employee relations matters, performance management, and other essential HR functions.
  • Serve as a vital business partner to employees, managers, directors, and senior leaders on workforce analytics, organizational enhancement, leadership development, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with HR specialists (recruitment, training and development, compensation, and benefits) to ensure programs are tailored to the needs of your client groups and to influence company-wide initiatives.
  • Advise and support employees and managers, adhering to company policies and relevant laws/regulations.
  • Facilitate internal transfers, oversee promotion opportunities, conduct exit interviews, and identify trends to support retention, career advancement, and minimize business risks.
  • Partner with management to implement key HR recommendations and change initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation, documentation, and execution of human resources policies, programs, and processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters and documents.
  • Manage employee records and process HR transactions in the designated HR system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in an engineering, production, or manufacturing setting supporting both exempt and non-exempt personnel.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships.
  • Positive leadership approach with the capability to tackle challenges proactively.
  • Experience in independently managing employee relations matters.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making and to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in thriving within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position is not remote and may require relocation.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary Range:

  • Employee Relations Specialist/Level I: $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
  • Employee Relations Specialist/Level II: $90,000 - $115,000 per year.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at Space Exploration Technologies Corp.

In addition, you may be eligible for long-term incentives, including company stock options, discretionary bonuses, and the opportunity to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and are eligible for 10 or more paid holidays annually. Exempt employees are entitled to 5 days of sick leave per year.
