Role Overview: As a Candidate Engagement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the recruitment process. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing incoming applications in specialized fields (e.g., mechanical engineering). You will also be the first point of contact for candidates visiting our facilities, providing them with insightful tours and sharing the SpaceX narrative. As you grow in this position, you will focus on identifying passive candidates for key roles and enhancing outreach efforts to potential applicants. This role also involves managing program initiatives to boost hiring efficiency in your designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct facility tours while sharing the history and mission of SpaceX.
  • Coordinate interview logistics, liaising with recruiters, recruiting coordinators, and hiring teams.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our operations to effectively communicate with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.
  • Review applications for select positions and build talent pools for recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to define the ideal candidate profile.
  • Share qualified applicants with relevant hiring teams.
  • Lead program management efforts to measure and enhance hiring efficiency in your focus area.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in recruitment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in recruitment, recruiting coordination, or sourcing.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solver with a commitment to team success.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels.
  • Capacity to learn and articulate insights about our business and the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check.
  • This position requires full-time onsite presence.
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 45 hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range for the Candidate Engagement Specialist role is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.

In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for long-term incentives, including stock options and discretionary bonuses. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid parental leave, and various discounts and perks. Employees accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and are eligible for 10 or more paid holidays annually.
