Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Careers. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, handling and developing key accounts, and promoting our product portfolio to customers in various industries.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Agility: Identify and prioritize new client opportunities, develop solution implementation and growth strategies, increase share of wallet within existing accounts, and demonstrate CMD's value proposition.
  • Growth: Expand current account penetration, grow organically, broaden, and deepen with all primary products, leverage cross-sell motions, and maintain awareness of competitor and industry activity.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in analytical instrument markets with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in the sciences.
  • Ability to explain and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific's scientific Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry product portfolio.
  • Strong market knowledge and professional network.
  • Experience in conducting on-site customer seminars and technical presentations.
  • Commercial mentality with a strong desire to win new business and take competitive market share.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, CRM.
  • Ability to travel daily and including overnight travel for meetings.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position based in California is $104,600.00–$156,875.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
