Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to become a vital member of our Flawless Steel Project Management team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the flow of technical information among our team, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Your main duty will involve verifying the accuracy of contract scopes, drawings, specifications, and addendums while collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure the seamless progression of steel fabrication and the erection of steel structures in the field.

Key Responsibilities:


Review design documents for precision and completeness, working with clients, design teams, detailing, fabrication, and field personnel to address discrepancies and fill in missing information.

Coordinate project sequencing and establish basic detailing job setups, including advance bills and shop and erection drawings.

Provide technical direction and support to steel detailers in creating shop drawings that meet project specifications and standards.


Monitor project timelines for submissions, approvals, and shop fabrication releases, proactively identifying and communicating potential delays or issues to the project management team.

Organize the detailing Request for Information (RFI) process, collaborating with engineers, architects, and general contractors.

Distribute and manage drawings, working closely with Document Control to prevent delays and maintain accurate logs.

Act as a liaison between the shop, field, and detailers to address fabrication and erection challenges.

Maintain regular communication with Project Managers or executives regarding the status of assigned tasks.

Provide valuable support to the Project Management Team in achieving successful project outcomes.

Participate in coordination meetings at fabrication facilities and job sites.

Oversee the detailing efforts of various common subcontractors.


Serve as a direct link between Detailers, Project Managers, other production departments, clients, other contractors, and the Design Team as needed.

Utilize expertise in MS Office, Bluebeam, Tekla, and Tekla EPM software packages to enhance project processes.

Authority:


The Project Engineer holds the authority to document RFIs and suspend the work of field or shop personnel when discrepancies are identified in contract documents.


Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Strong planning, organizational, and analytical abilities.

Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.

Demonstrated sound judgment in decision-making.
