Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Specialist to join our team at PacifiCorp. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the information technology team to automate financial tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for financial matters and provide guidance to business units.
  • Develop and maintain financial metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with internal and external auditor recommendations.
  • Identify and document existing financial processes and propose improvements.
  • Represent the company in meetings with senior management and regulatory commissions.
  • Direct activities related to fixed asset depreciation and financial reporting.
  • Plan and direct company-wide financial activities, including depreciation studies and construction overheads.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger data and prepare journal entries.
  • Implement and manage internal controls to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Select, coach, develop, and supervise employees.
  • Review and evaluate employee performance and make annual merit and incentive recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in financial risk management and compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Experience in fixed asset accounting and depreciation theory and practices.
  • Supervisory experience.
