Purpose of the RoleThe Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in the execution of the company’s regulatory compliance initiatives, specifically focusing on FERC/NERC/WECC Reliability Standards. This position is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of compliance-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the regulatory compliance program to ensure adherence to FERC requirements.
- Monitor evolving FERC regulations and collaborate with relevant business units to assess impacts.
- Facilitate communication between PacifiCorp and regional utilities regarding compliance matters.
- Assist business process owners in the creation and upkeep of compliance documentation.
- Plan and execute oversight activities to verify compliance with FERC regulations.
- Propose project plans, timelines, and budgets to management while tracking progress against established objectives.
- Develop comprehensive communication strategies to ensure sustainability of significant programs and initiatives.
- Work closely with business personnel to provide technical input and support for FERC compliance projects.
- Coordinate with various business units to address identified compliance gaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in a related field.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient in project management, analysis, and investigative skills to formulate actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive compliance issues.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and present alternative solutions.
• Proficient in the use of software applications including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools.
