Position Overview: Electrical Cost Estimator

We are a prominent electrical panel firm seeking a talented Electrical Cost Estimator to enhance our team. Our company is dedicated to delivering superior projects and outstanding service to our clientele.

The Electrical Cost Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing and formulating cost projections for electrical systems and installations across various initiatives. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, estimation methodologies, and project oversight. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with project managers and clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and documentation to generate precise cost estimates for electrical installations and projects.
  • Calculate labor, material, and overhead expenses related to electrical work.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive estimates and budgets for electrical components of projects.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids for electrical services, ensuring all pertinent information is included.
  • Understand project requirements, scope, and specifications to create thorough and competitive proposals.
  • Solicit and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for electrical materials and services.
  • Evaluate prices and services to select the most economical options while upholding quality standards.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are precise and align with the project's requirements and limitations.

Assist in formulating project schedules and timelines based on estimated costs and resource availability.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project modifications.

Generate detailed reports and documentation for management and client review.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in codes and regulations.

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Electrical Cost Estimator
  • Proficiency in electrical estimating software and tools
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations

Position Type: Full Time Temp to Perm

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift
